Israel to Join India in Developing Advanced Missile Defence System

In a noteworthy strategic move up to defence, the Indian Army has marked a MoU with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) to raise one regiment of the propelled Medium Range Surface to Air Missiles (MRSAM).

The armed force intends to have an aggregate of five regiments of this air defence system, which will be sent inverse to China and Pakistan.The MRSAM marks an outlook change in the abilities of the Indian Army.

The system can shoot down ballistic missiles, fighterjets, helicopters, drones , recon aircrafts , Warning and Control System (AWACS) etc.

Implied for the Army Air Defense, the MRSAM is a propelled, all climate, portable, arrive based air defence system.It is fit for connecting with different elevated focuses at scopes of more than 50 km.

Each MRSAM system includes an order and-control system, a following radar, missiles, and versatile launchers.Each regiment comprises of four launchers with three missiles each. So five regiments will have 60 missiles.

A MOU has been marked between the armed force and the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for one regiment. The system will be together created by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and DRDO with the association of private divisions and DPSUs.
